Dr. Laki De Mel
Dr. Laki De Mel provides comprehensive eye examinations, and diagnosing and treating various ocular manifestations and diseases. This includes diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He makes it a priority to listen to each and every patient and treat them as if they were his own family.
Dr. De Mel graduated from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona. He received a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Supply Chain Management. He also holds an MBA from Western International University in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. De Mel completed externships at Paradise Valley Eye Care and Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix, Arizona and Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, Arizona.
Dr. De Mel is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Arizona Optometric Association. He volunteers in vision screenings with groups such as Hope Fest Phoenix. In his spare time, Dr. De Mel enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing golf, and watching Sun Devil football.
